Purpose Statement
- To develop, define, establish and lead a Producer or Consumer Guild which underpins and promotes an enterprise wide data culture and builds a data driven organisation.
- To do so through on boarding the business to the data ecosystem via a community of practice across the enterprise, providing competency based consistency of standards, technical guidance, support and expertise, products and tools to people and teams who produce or consume data.
Experience
Minimum:
- At least 5 – 7 years’ proven experience in;
- Project and task planning and execution at a large scale within a complex and dynamic environment
- Driving and embedding data understanding, buy-in and culture.
- Experience and ability of using influencing and partnerships to achieve results.
Ideal:
- Experience preferably gained in a financial environment
- Experience of digitization and the use of digital technologies to provide value –producing opportunities.
- Practical experience in applying Agile way of working methodologies
Qualifications (Minimum)
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
- Bachelor's Degree
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
- Honours Degree
Knowledge
Minimum:
- Proven track record of delivering on complex data projects
- Change management principles, practices, tools and methods
- Proven track record of business relationship management, especially at a senior/executive level
- Data Product Life Cycle
- Agile principles and methodology
- Understanding of end-to-end data environments, including Data Governance & Management, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Data Science
Ideal:
- Knowledge of data and analytics within the banking or finance industry
