Vodacom Terminals prides itself on selecting the very best devices for our customers. Selecting products to meet the needs of our customers today and tomorrow. From Sims to Smartphones, Mobile data solutions to Machine 2 Machine. This new role, reporting to the Head of Portfolio & Commercial, within Terminals, will be responsible for owning the ranging decisions for Vodacom.
Aligned to local strategy and Vodafone Group, this role requires exceptional market knowledge, understanding of product technology, and a passion for hardware, in order to select and recommend the products that enable our customers to be connected.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Quarterly device portfolio planning, based on insights (internal (CVM) and external sources) that is aligned with Segments, Sales, Customer Ops & Technology
Advocate of the device portfolio and future strategy
Volume mix that is aligned with the A&R budget, connection targets, supplier and platform strategy.
Alignment with the Vodafone Global & Vodacom SA strategy
Highlight future and global trends for wider consultation.
Understanding of customer segmentation and developing a portfolio for both Prepaid and Post Paid markets
Lifecycle management of devices within the portfolio and introduction of new devices into the portfolio
The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have
Matric is essential
Relevant degree or diploma in business administration or IT essential
Working in or previously worked in Telecommunications preferred.
Experience in ranging, developing or selling mobile products
High degree of interest in mobile devices, platforms, products and services
Work cross functionally in a fluid environment
A passion for providing excellence in customer service
Ability to look beyond today and predict future mobile customer trends
